Proud past, great future

Our track record is based on a rich-in-tradition company and family history going back over 260 years:


1744 Establishment of the firm in Paczków, Silesia. 
1900 The first step towards factory-type candle making comes with setting up a factory outside the town. 
1908 Brothers Joseph and Franz Müller take over management of the prospering firm. 
1919 Even then four shops and two wholesale businesses of the Müller company see to sales. 
1924 Soap production is taken up to offset marked seasonal variations in the candle business. 
1935 Meanwhile two more shops of the company as well as travelling salesmen and district representatives see to sales. 
1945 Dispossession of the firm by the Polish state. 
1948 Joseph Müller begins anew in Straelen. 
1961 The production building is destroyed in a fire. 
1962 A re-start outside the town with Hubert, Ruth and Edith Müller. 
1985 The seventh generation of Stefan Müller, Dipl.-Ing., Thomas Müller, Dipl.-Kfm., come onto the board of directors. 
1988 A second production plant with a workforce today of 200 is founded in Grudziądz on the River Vistula. 
1989 A large new warehouse is added to the production plant in Straelen. Production can be extended. 
1994 Production is again expanded in Straelen. Today 110 staff are employed. 
1997 Four production shops and warehouses are set up in Grudziądz. 
1998 Martin Winnen, Dipl.-Ing., comes onto the board. He is responsible for operating sequences, floristic sales, logistics, DP and controlling. 
2003 Change of name to a full public company with Thomas Müller, Stefan Müller and Martin Winnen on the executive board. 
2005 Expansion of capacity in Grudziądz thanks to a production order shop. 
2006 Filing patent application of the BSS candle with integrated candle tray – a global novelty
