History – Müller Świece

1744: Foundation of the company in Patschkau, Silesia / today Poland
1900: The first step towards the factory production of candles is to build a manufacturing building outside of the city
1908: The brothers Joseph and Franz Müller take over the management of the prospering company
1945: Wywłaszczenie spółki przez państwo polskie

1948: Joseph Müller starts again in Straelen
1961: In the event of a fire, the production building is destroyed
1962: A new beginning on the outskirts with Hubert, Ruth and Edith Müller
1985: Seventh generation, Stefan Müller, Dipl.-Ing., Thomas Müller, Dipl.-Kfm., joins the management

1988: A second production facility with about 1.000 employees is founded in Graudenz an der Weichsel
1998: Martin Winnen, Dipl.-Ing., joins the management († 2017)
2000: Our third production facility with 120 employees is opened in Taicang, in Jiangsu Province in the east of the People’s Republic of China.
2003: Change of name to a stock corporation with the board members Thomas Müller, Stefan Müller and Martin Winnen

2010: Since 2010 we are a member of the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, check our progress at www.rspo.org)
2014: From the second half of 2014 we will be producing according to the strict criteria of the RSPO “Segregated” (check our progress at www.rspo.org), for which we have been certified since 2013 – as the first candle manufacturer worldwide.
2016: Founding member of FONAP, the forum for sustainable palm oil, which together provides viable solutions for to develop practices in the palm oil sector.
2017: The 8th generation joins the company.
2019: We celebrate our 275th birthday! Thanks to our experience and innovative strength, we are a high-performance, reliable business partner.
2021: Ann-Kristin Müller and Isabel Müller join the management.
